The Running Man Home Release Announced

The Running Man (2025, Edgar Wright, Paramount)

Edgar Wright’s The Running Man races onto digital platforms on January 13, 2026, with rental availability following on January 27, before landing on 4K UHD Steelbook, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 2, 2026. Based on Stephen King’s novel, the action-packed sci-fi thriller is directed by Wright and written by Michael Bacall alongside Wright. The film boasts a standout ensemble cast including Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, William H. Macy, Colman Domingo, Michael Cera, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, and Josh Brolin, delivering a bold, high-energy reinvention of the dystopian classic.

Set in a near-future society obsessed with televised violence, The Running Man follows working-class Ben Richards (Powell), who is forced into a deadly game show where contestants must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins for the entertainment of a bloodthirsty audience. As Ben’s defiance turns him into a fan favourite - and a dangerous symbol of rebellion - the show’s ruthless producer (Brolin) tightens his grip. The 4K UHD release includes over two and a half hours of bonus features, along with filmmaker commentary, offering an in-depth look behind Wright’s turbo-charged vision.
