MUBI have revealed new artwork for Kleber Mendonça Filho’s political-crime thriller The Secret Agent, which will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 20 February 2026.
The Secret Agent stars Wagner Moura (Narcos, Civil War), Maria Fernanda Cândido (Vermelho Monet, The Traitor) and Gabriel Leone (Eduardo and Monica, Verdades Secretas). The film received its World Premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where Wagner Moura won the Best Actor prize, Mendonça Filho was awarded the Best Director prize, and the film received the FIPRESCI and Art House Cinema Awards. The film has also been shortlisted in the International Feature category for the 2026 Academy Awards® and nominated for Foreign Language Film of the Year by the London Critics Circle with Wagner Moura also recognised in the Actor of the Year category.
